AbdoSense offers a non-invasive, reliable alternative for monitoring intra-abdominal pressure. Using a patch method with a strain gauge sensor, which detects minute changes in abdominal wall tension which gives signals when optimal range of intra abdominal pressure is crossed.

Timely monitoring of intra-abdominal pressure (IAP) is crucial in the post-operative period following extensive abdominal surgeries to prevent intra-abdominal hypertension and its impact on vital organs such as the liver, kidneys, and heart. Continuous IAP monitoring allows for prompt intervention, enhancing patient outcomes and reducing complications.

Current methods for monitoring IAP are invasive, time consuming and cumbersome, often requiring skilled personnel that may not be readily available in healthcare settings. How Abdosense works?
Non-Invasive Patch Application
AbdoSense features a specially designed patch embedded with a sensitive strain gauge sensor. The patch is comfortably placed on the abdominal wall, allowing it to detect minute changes in tension caused by variations in intra-abdominal pressure.
Data Processing and Analysis
The sensor sends the data to a small processing unit, where it is analyzed in real time using advanced algorithms. The system filters out noise and correlates the measurements with established IAP values, providing healthcare professionals with reliable pressure readings.
Real-Time Pressure Detection
The strain gauge sensor measures the abdominal wall's distension , converting these physical changes into electrical signals. These signals accurately reflect the internal pressure changes without needing invasive procedures.
